REPORT ON LITERARY CLUB ACTIVITIES AND EVENTS 2025-2026

The Literary Club remained active throughout the academic year, conducting a wide range of events and activities aimed at promoting reading habits, creativity, critical thinking and social awareness among students. The following is a summary of the major programmes organized during the year.

READING DAY CELEBRATION

Reading Day was celebrated on June 19,2025, to commemorating the importance of reading in academic and personal growth. The event began with a special assembly highlighting the contribution of eminent writers.

INTERHOUSE LITERARY COMPETITIONS

To promote healthy competition and strengthen literary skills, the Literary Club conducted a series of Interhouse Literary Competitions. Events included:

  • Elocution
  • Story Writing
  • Essay Writing
  • Poem Recitation
  • Extempore

Students showcased remarkable talent and enthusiasm. The competitions helped participants develop confidence, critical thinking, and expressive abilities.

VARIOUS EVENTS

ANTI-DRUG DAY: As part of the Literary Club Annual activities, International Day Against Drug Abuse was observed on June 26. An awareness Class was conducted by Sri. Rajesh from the Excise Department addressed the students importance of reading a healthy, drug free life. The session was informative and impactful, encouraging students to become responsible ambassadors of anti-drug awareness within the community.

GRANDPARENTS DAY: The Literary Club celebrated Grandparents Day on November 15, as part of its annual activities. to mark the occasion, an awareness class by Sri. Mahin K Aliyar, Teacher, Educator Trainer, Assistant Professor in Social Science, was conducted for the higher class students.

VARIOUS ACTIVITIES

NALLAPADAM ACTIVITY: As part of the Nallapadam Activity, lunch packets will be distributed at District General Hospital, Pathanamthitta on 28th November 2025 in association with MSFC arts and sports club. Through this activity, we aim to extend out commitment to community welfare and social responsibility.

MATHS ACTIVITY:
  • Interesting activities like making still models, chart work, geometric shapes using tangram pieces were conducted.
  • Talent Search Exam will be conducted on December 5th.
  • Magazine for the Maths Club is going to be published soon.
  • PCM Exam was conducted on 11/10/25

ENGLISH ACTIVITY: As part of the Literary Club activities, the English department conducted a Talk Show and a ‘Teach-Back’ session. Students participated in a lively talk show based on a given topic, where they shared their views, exchanged ideas, and showcased their communication skills. Additionally, students were assigned chapters from their curriculum and divided into groups. Each group prepared questions based on the chapter and engaged in peer learning by asking and answering questions with one another.

HINDI ACTIVITY:
  • Grammar based chart work was done
  • A project on Hockey Stadium was given
  • Poster making was conducted on Hindi Divas on September 14, 2025
The Hindi department conducted various events to improve language skills and cultural appreciation.

FOOD FEST: The Literary Club of our school organized an exciting and vibrant Food Fest on 6th November 2025 in the school courtyard. The event aimed not only to celebrate diverse cuisines but also to encourage creativity and teamwork. The fest attracted enthusiastic participation from students, teachers and parents. Overall the Food Fest was a grand success.

SCIENCE CLUB AND ECO CLUB ACTIVITIES: Science Club and Eco club of the school collaborately conducted a series of focused events across its academic sections, primarily emphasizing environmental awareness, conservation and scientific milestones. In LP section Environmental Day celebration where students participated enthusiastically in pencil drawing and colouring related to environment. Moving up the UP section was heavily engaged in visual campaigns, preparing impactful posters for Wildlife Conservation Campaign and Anti-Cracker Campaign alongside creating persuasive slogans for Ozone Day Celebration. The High School Section focused on informative writing with students penning detailed essays for Van Mahotsav, focusing on the consequences of Deforestation, and also contributing essays for the National Pollution Prevention Day. Finally the most senior group Higher Secondary Section marked the Moon Day celebration by writing thoughtful essays commemorating the historic achievement of the future of space exploration. Overall, the activities successfully employed a mix of creative arts and essay writing to foster greater understanding responsibility among students regarding critical environmental and scientific themes.

SOCIAL SCIENCE CLUB ACTIVITIES: As part of Social Science Club an Anti-Drug awareness programme was conducted on June 24,2025 at School auditorium.School celebrated Anti-Drug day on June 26, 2025. The children took an Anti-Drug pledge, made posters to spread awareness and a flash mob with an Anti-Drug message was also presented.
Under the supervision of Social Science Club school Parliament Election was conducted on June 30, 2025. Through this we foster the democratic values. Our school celebrated India’s 78th Independence Day with great enthusiasm. The entire school community gathered on August 15, 2025. The programs includes march past, flag hoisting and cultural programme.
The celebration of Gandhi Jayanti at our school was an inspiring occasion dedicated to honoring the life and legacy of Mahatma Gandhi. The event was held on September 29, 2025. Students and teachers participated in a campus wide cleanliness drive.
As part of this club the teachers and students worked together to learn the practical process of growing vegetables and to understand the basis of agriculture. Students watered the plants daily, regularly ensure its proper growth and monitored for pests.
